tumblr is such a frustrating echo chamber wrt people completely refusing to engage with any media theyve been told they wont like lol… “filmbro movies/prestige tv/classic lit is boring and about toxic people and not diverse enough” okay but when was the last time you bothered actually watching or reading any of those things for yourself, to see if that was true? have you ever? has anyone writing these fucking posts about how books for adults are all about english professors fucking their students so we should all read voltron fanfic instead ever actually engaged with any media that might challenge them? god forbid you evaluate a work on its own merit after bothering to read/watch it instead of basing all your choices off what some freak on tumblr and their fifth hand opinion post has to say about how theyve heard its soooo toxic. god forbid you watch something youve been told you wont like and its actually GOOD
