i guess i feel like, if you decide you never want to consume any media more complicated than steven universe or marvel fanfiction, you never want to see any complicated topics explored, you want a nice obvious moral at the end of every episode telling you to share your toys, whatever. doesnt affect me, youre gonna miss out on a lot of good art but thats your problem. my issue really is with the people on here who make that decision and then go on to misrepresent the media theyre not engaging with and dont know anything about. because other people seeing you post about how bad and boring and toxic whatever piece of media is dont know youve never bothered watching or reading it, and if they believe you, theyre the ones who miss out. which is unfair
