once you’ve defined “being a woman who defies societal roles” to be an axis of privilege, making gnc women the oppressors of other women, you have thrown the baby out with the bathwater.

where can feminism even go from there? if “misogyny” now means “criticizing anything traditionally associated with women,” how can anything ever change? all you’re left with is “weaponized femininity” and yelling about how everything is fine as long as a woman CHOOSES to do it. you can’t examine why a woman might make the choices she did – that means questioning the traditionally feminine, which makes you just like those gross mannish d*kes masculine oppressors

(the lgbt/”queer” community isn’t innocent of this either – gnc women have always been the “negative stereotype” other wlw distance themselves from)(and that’s without getting into how certain classes of women are treated as inherently less feminine, and therefore inherently more oppressive in this paradigm, e.g. trans women, woc (in particular black women), fat women, etc)
